I have attended 3-4 concerts each year, and within the last 12 months, I witnessed Brandi Carlile perform. This concert was the most disappointing one I have ever been to. It was not because of the artists' singing (which was actually decent) but rather due to the poor organization of the event. I was thoroughly appalled. The tickets indicated an 8 pm start time, yet it was not until 9:20 pm that the first artist, Dave Hollister, took the stage. The absence of any band equipment was the initial red flag for me. I immediately suspected a promotional scam. Charging a considerable amount for tickets and having the artists perform to prerecorded tracks is simply unacceptable. How can this be considered a concert without a live band? Isn't that essentially Karaoke? Additionally, it is crucial to ensure that the Master of Ceremonies is professional and capable of engaging with the audience present. During extended periods of inactivity, the organizers resorted to transforming the stage into a fraternity-like performance with female participants and other inappropriate elements, which was highly disappointing. My wife and I traveled 150 miles in anticipation of a high-quality live band performance, not a mere spectacle.
